Every vendor page tells you the product is the best one. That is no help when you are the person who has to pick. So here is the plain version: what each product is, what it publishes, and where we are different.
We only state what we could read on their own site on the date above. Where a page did not say, we write that it did not say rather than guessing. Where a competitor does something better than us, it is on the page.
One thing to know before you read on. Meridian is not taking new firms yet. The next version is close and there is a waiting list. If you need software this week, one of the others is the right answer, and these pages are still the fastest way to choose between them.
Most of the confusion in this market comes from comparing things that are not the same kind of thing. There are three, and they solve different problems.
Built to fill IRCC forms and little else. Fast at the thing they do. The case, the deadlines, the money and the client conversation live somewhere else, usually in an inbox and a spreadsheet.
Built for law firms of every kind. Strong on billing, trust accounting and documents, with a large integration marketplace. It does not know what an IMM form is, it will not tell you a revision changed, and it cannot open a federal portal for you.
Built around an immigration matter, so the forms, the portals, the policy, the documents and the deadlines are one system. That is the category Meridian is in, and the honest trade is that it does not try to be a general law firm platform.

Price is the easiest thing to compare and the least useful. Two products at the same monthly number can differ by a day of work a week once you count who types the forms, who chases the documents and who pays per signature.
The questions that actually separate them are in our buyer checklist, and they hold whichever product you end up buying.
Because the comparison happens whether we write it down or not, and a practitioner deciding where their client files will live deserves a straight account rather than a sales call. We would rather be the people who told you the truth about the market.
