Signet is Meridian's own built-in electronic signature. Every signed document is locked with a cryptographic seal, carries a Certificate of Completion, and can be checked by anyone. No third party required.

At signing, Signet seals the finished PDF with a cryptographic fingerprint. Change one character later and the seal breaks, so any alteration shows.
Each document carries an appended certificate: signer, signing method, timestamps, IP, full audit trail (sent · viewed · signed), and a unique Verification ID.
Hold a signed PDF? Confirm it at the public verifier with the Verification ID, or upload the file to check it against the sealed fingerprint. Altered files won't match.
The whole path runs inside Meridian. Nobody creates an account anywhere else, and nothing is billed per signature.

Open the public verifier, type the Verification ID, and it confirms who signed and when. Or upload the PDF itself and Signet checks the file against the sealed fingerprint. A document that has been altered by even one character will not match.

Electronic signatures are recognised in Canada under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and the equivalent provincial legislation, and under comparable laws elsewhere, including the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States. A document signed with Signet is intended to be as binding as a handwritten signature, provided the parties agreed to sign electronically, which Signet records.

Nothing stops an edit, but the seal makes it obvious. The fingerprint is taken at signing, so any later change breaks the match and the verifier says so.
Yes. The signing link opens in any browser, and most clients sign on a phone.
You can keep it. Signet is the default and is included; a firm may connect a different provider if it prefers.
